Ellen Marie Walsh

I am a seasoned employment lawyer with over 20 years of experience advocating for employees facing discrimination, wrongful termination, and other workplace injustices. I also represent employers in cases involving the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). I have an extensive history of practicing education law, representing many school employees and districts. My background includes more than 10 years of experience serving on boards of education.

In recent years, I have also expanded my focus to include legal matters pertaining to the Conscientious Employee Protection Act (CEPA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination (NJLAD).

I am a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, Bergen County Bar Association, and Women Lawyers in Bergen County. I previously served on the Bergen County Ethics Committee.

I’m Not One To Back Down

I like to get to know my clients and get as many details from them as possible about their cases. I want to be fully armed and prepared when addressing their employer. I find that gets me the best results every time.

Once I file the complaint with the court, I proceed from day one as if it is going to go to trial. Litigation is often about persistence and patience while facing roadblocks laid down by the defense. But I am not one to back down or intimidate easily.

I am diligent and hardworking. In addition, I like assisting my clients. I hope clients see me as someone who has compassion for what they are going through and someone that works especially hard to secure the best results so that they can move past a difficult time in their lives.
